This course is taught by Vicki Farnam and will cover in-depth training for instructors to teach off-body carry techniques.
Required number of rounds of pistol ammunition is 300. You’ll also need at least two magazines or speed loaders, eye (safety glasses) and hearing protection, and a baseball cap. Pistol calibers of 380Auto and larger are acceptable.
The course will be outdoors and will entail some physical activity, so you will need to dress appropriately (long pants, long-sleeve shirt, sturdy shoes). You may get dirty, so wear something heavy-duty but inexpensive. No sweat-pants, nor shorts.
Finally, you will need a gun bag or box, so that you can safely carry your gun on and off the range, unless, of course, you are authorized to carry concealed, in which case I presume you will be carrying to and from the range.
This is a three-day class and you will spend about half of the time on the range.
You will need to register via the DTI website.
The bunkhouse is available at no charge for any students who are traveling. Please reserve your bunk below if you want one. First come first serve.
