Nebraska Shooters has standards and so should you! We have a program which rewards those who can meet the challenge with a coin for each level. This is a great way to gauge where you are in your training and where you need work.
Each level requires some formal training and requires proficiency with essential gun handling skills. If you barely passed your concealed carry qualification, you will need to work a bit to get to level 1, but most people who have had at least two training courses, have been able to make level 1 proficiency.
Level I You simply need to draw from concealment while moving and place three shots into an 8″ target within three seconds from 3 yards, with no safety violations. (Inspired by KR Training)
Level II is going to be a little harder and will likely require more training and a lot more practice. After completing at least 20 hours of formal training with Nebraska Shooters, you merely need to draw from concealment while moving and place one shot on each of three 8″ circles, reload, fire one shot support hand on each target, . This should be done in 12 seconds from 7 yards with no safety violations. (inspired by the Spaulding Rip-Off drill)
Level III is going to take a little work, but it only takes 7 shots. With a loaded chamber, a mag must be loaded with 4 live and one random inert round. A spare mag with at least 2 rounds must be staged. Starting with back to the target, at 7 yards the shooter must move, draw from concealment, fire until the inert round is encountered, recover and fire the remaining rounds. Shooter needs to reload while moving and fire the remaining two shots in 20 seconds with no safety violations. Success requires 100% hits on an index card target. Candidates must have at least 30 hours of formal training from Nebraska Shooters to qualify for this coin. (Inspired by John Farnam with DTI)

Level IV will require shooter to begin with a double feed induced in their gun before holstering. Magazine will only have 3 live rounds. An additional magazine will be staged in mag carrier. Shooter begins at arm’s reach from target. On the buzzer, shooter will deliver a palm strike, move rearward, draw from concealment attempt to fire, clear stoppage, and fire two shots at target 1 and then one on target 2. Shooter will then retreat to the 10 yard line and shoot one round over the V-Tac wall, one through the wall and one under the wall. Muzzle must not protrude beyond the wall. All shots must be hits. No safety violations. Time must be under 25 seconds. Each target must have at least two hits. Targets will be 8″ round plates. Candidates must have at least 40 hours of formal training from Nebraska Shooters.

Level V requires the shooter to face up-range at 7 yards with a yard dice in hands. On buzzer, shooter will drop dice, turn and shoot the casino drill beginning with the number that appeared on the dice. Three magazine will be loaded with 6, 7 and 8 rounds and staged randomly with one in the gun and two in mag pouch. Shooter must beat 24 seconds and any misses will add one second to time.
Each coin can only be issued by a Nebraska Shooters instructor who has obtained that coin themselves. Opportunities to earn the coins will coincide with other training events on a regular basis.
