DESCRIPTION:\n	The name of the course is Chief Range Safety Officer.&nbsp\;
  Most of you know that a Basic Range Safety Officer course is to train the
  range officer regarding safety rules that apply to users of a shooting ra
 nge. &nbsp\;If you are a certified NRA Instructor in any of the firearms d
 isciplines then you can take the Basic RSO class on line. &nbsp\;If you ar
 e NOT an NRA firearm instructor and desire to become an NRA Basic Range Sa
 fety Officer you must obtain the training in an instructor led (face-to-fa
 ce) class.\n\n\n\n	&nbsp\;\n\n\n\n	The Chief Range Safety Officer course d
 eals more with administrative matters.\n\n\n\n	For example\, a CRSO is tra
 ined in how to write policies\, procedures\, rules and regulations about h
 ow a range is administered or operated. &nbsp\;In a non-profit club range 
 management role the CRSO would prepare the policies\, rules\, etc. and pre
 sent them to the elected board for approval and adoption.\n\n\n\n	In a com
 mercial&nbsp\;range operation the presentation would be to the owner(s) fo
 r approval.\n\n\n\n	&nbsp\;\n\n\n\n	The CRSO role&nbsp\;also includes the 
 authority to teach the Basic RSO class to club members\,&nbsp\;employees o
 r the public.\n\n\n\n	&nbsp\;\n\n\n\n	If a new range is being developed or
  an existing range is being ex paned the CRSO should be included in the pl
 anning phase since it would fall to his responsibility to train new and ex
 isting RSO&#39\;s in the procedures of operation and safety. &nbsp\;You ar
 e not required to be a member of a range or a commercial operation to prov
 ide Chief Range Safety Officer services.\n\n\n\n	&nbsp\;\n\n\n\n	Prerequis
 ites: &nbsp\;Must be a current Basic Range Safety Officer. &nbsp\;Must als
 o take&nbsp\;the BIT class in advance of the CRSO course.\n\n\n\n	&nbsp\;\
 n\n\n\n	For those of you that are currently a certified firearms instructo
 r and have taken the BIT during the past two years\, or have taught an NRA
  firearms class during the prior two years\, you are not required to repea
 t the BIT. &nbsp\;&nbsp\;\n\n\n\n	Cost: &nbsp\;Basic Range Safety Officer
