DESCRIPTION:Refuse To Be A Victim® (RTBAV) Seminars teach methods to avo
 id dangerous situations and prevent criminal confrontations.  Experts agr
 ee the most important factor in surviving a criminal attack is to have an 
 overall safety strategy before you need it.  Seminar topics address perso
 nal safety issues as well as home\, automobile\, telephone\, technological
 \, and travel security.  Seminar participants are presented with a variet
 y of common‑sense crime prevention and personal safety strategies and de
 vices they may integrate into their daily lives.\nRefuse To Be A Victim® 
 was developed by the National Rifle Association in 1993 in response to nat
 ionwide requests for crime prevention seminars. The program has been endor
 sed by members of the law enforcement community nationwide\, such as Janic
 e Hart\, Certified Crime Prevention Specialist and Refuse To Be A Victim®
  Certified Instructor of Front Royal\, Virginia.  She said\, "Crime Preve
 ntion is everyone's responsibility. Taking care of one's self is the pri
 ority. The skills taught in the Refuse To Be A Victim® course will help 
 to prevent personal attacks and keep our communities safer. Refuse To Be A
  Victim® is the best personal safety and awareness program I have come ac
 ross in my Crime Prevention career."\nThe program is appropriate for teena
 gers and up. With more than four thousand instructors\, seminars have been
  held in all 50 states\, the District of Columbia\, Puerto Rico\, Canada\,
  Costa Rico\, and Trinidad and Tobago.  Almost a 100 thousand men and wom
 en have benefited from the program and its life saving message.\nSafety ex
 perts agree the single most important step toward ensuring your personal s
 afety is making the conscious decision to Refuse To Be A Victim®. You sta
 nd a much better chance of preventing criminal attack if you develop a sa
 fety plan before you need it.  That is why the Refuse To Be A Victim® cr
 ime prevention seminar was developed. It is a program of the National Rifl

 And more!\n\nRefuse To Be A Victim® is a four hour crime prevention semi
 nar\, which provides practical information geared toward awareness and avo
 idance of criminal attack. It is a program of the National Rifle Associati
 on. Certified instructors help seminar participants better understand crim
 inal thinking and provide tips on maximizing home\, automobile\, telephone
 \, technological\, and personal security.  Participants learn unbiased in
 formation about carjacking prevention strategies\; self‑defense training
  options\; and the use of devices such as pepper spray\, mace and tasers.
  \nThis safety awareness message has been presented in all 50 states\, th
 e District of Columbia\, Canada\, Puerto Rico\, Costa Rica\, and Trinidad 
 and Tobago. Additionally\, tens of thousands of people have attended semin
