DESCRIPTION:POCKET ROCKETS\nby Chuck Haggard\n\nCourse description\nThis cl
 ass is a full day expanded version of the popular training classes I've co
 nducted at the Rangemaster Tactical Conference under the titles of "Pocket
  Rockets"\, Snub Revolver Skills\, and Small Pistols\; Practical Practice 
 with Pocket Poppers.\nThis training will explore the carry and use of thes
 e small handguns as EDC or back-up carry guns\, the non standard technique
 s often needed to run these small handguns efficiently and effectively\, a
 nd the important differences in how they need to be run vs full sized hand
 guns.\n\nTopics covered will include:\n\n 	Grip\, weapon handling\, marksm
 anship\, sighting and trigger control\, maximum effective range\n 	Reloads
 \n 	Malfunction clearing\n 	Ammunition selection\, wound ballistics\, and 
 Tactical Anatomy to maximize the effectiveness of these small guns.\n\nA b
 allistic gelatin demonstration shoot will be conducted as part of this cla
 ss. Students are encouraged to bring a sample of their carry ammo for test
 ing if they so choose.\nPrimary and alternate carry methods\, such as insi
 de the waistband\, belly bands\, appendix carry\, ankle carry\, pocket car
 ry\, off body carry.\n\nWhat to bring:\n\n 	Students need to supply range 
 gear (hearing and eye protection\, etc.)\n 	a safe\, drop safe\, and funct
 ional handgun\n 	a minimum of 250 rounds for centerfire snubs\n 	300 round
 s of ammunition for centerfire semi auto handguns\n 	350 for rimfire handg
 uns\n 	a safe method of carry for their handgun\n 	Please bring a sack lun
 ch\n\nStudents may bring more than one handgun and switch between them if 
 they so choose.\n\nI am often asked “What do you mean by small handguns?
 ”. Well\, this depends on the hand size of the shooter. “Small handgun
 s” are those that are enough smaller than a service sized handgun that a
 lternative techniques need to be used to run them effectively. The list ca
 n include\, but is not limited to\, guns such as Glock 26\, 42 and 43\, or
 iginal sized Sig 365s\, Ruger LCP\, Ruger LCR and S&amp\;W 642 snub revolv
 ers\, etc. Safe and reliable rimfire handguns\, such as the Beretta 21\, o
 r .22cal versions of the LCP\, LCR\, or S&amp\;W 43c/317/etc. would also b
