SUMMARY:Personal Protection Outside the Home
DESCRIPTION:Participants must have completed Personal Protection In the Hom
 e course. For those needing this course it is available on April 6\, 2024.
   This course broadens the knowledge\, skills and attitude necessary for 
 avoiding a dangerous confrontation and the safe effective use of a handgun
  for protection when outside the home. For a full description click here.\
 n\nNRA's Personal Protection Outside the Home (level 1) is a 9 hour course
  with extended range time (level 2) adding 5 more hours. We will review fu
 ndamentals of safe gun handling\, proper mindset and presentation from con
 cealment. This course also includes: presentation and movement\, point sho
 oting\, shooting from cover and concealment\, instinctive shooting\, low l
 ight shooting\, engaging multiple targets and one-handed shooting. Partici
 pants must bring: Handgun with strong side holster\, a minimum of 250 roun
 ds of ammo\, eye and ear protection\, knee pads\, 2 or more magazines\, co
 ncealment garment and certification of completion of NRA's Personal Protec
 tion Inside the Home course. Refreshments and lunch will be provided.\n\nW
 e will start promptly at 5:30 pm on Friday evening. This is objective-base
 d course so please be prepared to put in a full day on Saturday as well. 
  We will begin promptly at 8am on Saturday. This is a 14 hour curriculum f
 or those who want the level 2 which is required to become an instructor.\n
 \nFree on-site bunkhouse accommodations are available for this class.  Pl
