SUMMARY:Personal Protection Outside the Home
DESCRIPTION:Participants must have completed Personal Protection In the Hom
 e course. For those needing this course it is available on March&nbsp\;3\,
  2018.&nbsp\; This course broadens the knowledge\, skills and attitude nec
 essary for avoiding a dangerous confrontation and the safe effective use o
 f a handgun for protection when outside the home. For a full description c
 lick here.\n\nNRA's Personal Protection Outside the Home (level 1) is a 9 
 hour course with extended range time (level 2) adding 5 more hours. We wil
 l review fundamentals of safe gun handling\, proper mindset and presentati
 on from concealment. This course also includes: presentation and movement\
 , point shooting\, shooting from cover and concealment\, instinctive shoot
 ing\, low light shooting\, engaging multiple targets and one-handed shooti
 ng. Participants must bring: Handgun with strong side holster\, a minimum 
 of 250 rounds of ammo\, eye and ear protection\, knee pads\, 2 or more mag
 azines\, concealment garment and certification of completion of NRA's Pers
 onal Protection Inside the Home course. Refreshments and lunch will be pro
 vided.\n\nWe will start promptly at 8:00 am. This is objective-based cours
 e so please be prepared to put in a full day.&nbsp\; This is a 14 hour cur
 riculum.\n\n&nbsp\;
