SUMMARY:NRA Range Safety Officer
DESCRIPTION:This course is approximately nine hours long and is conducted i
 n the Nebraska Shooters Facility between Cortland and Firth. Range Safety 
 Officer candidates will learn roles and responsibilities of an RSO\; Range
  Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)\; range inspection\; range rules\; r
 ange briefings\; emergency procedures\; and firearm stoppages and malfunct
 ions. Each Range Safety Officer Candidate will receive an RSO Student Stud
 y Guide\, a Basic Firearm Training Program brochure\, an NRA Gun Safety Ru
 les brochure\, an Instructor Application/Course Evaluation form.\n\nNRA Ra
 nge Safety Officers possess the knowledge\, skills\, and attitude essentia
 l to organizing\, conducting\, and supervising safe shooting activities an
 d range operations indoors and outdoors.\n\nThe NRA developed its program 
 in response to the demand for a nationally-recognized Range Safety Officer
  ("RSO") certification. Our class and the certification should be especial
 ly valuable to firearms instructors.\n\nThis includes lunch and snacks so 
 if you have any dietary restrictions pease let us know beforehand.\n\nCred
 entialing Fees:\n\nAll first time instructors\, Coaches\, and Range Saftey
  Officers pay a flat credentialing fee of $50 for a 2 year term. Additiona
 l ratings can be added at a rate of $20 per rating and renewals are $50 fo
 r a 2 year term regardless of how many ratings are being renewed.\n\n** NR
 A Members credentialing fees are $30 for a 2 year term and additional rati
 ngs can be added at $10 per rating.\n\nIf you are interested in becoming a
