The Pistol Instructor Training begins with our NRA Basic Instructor Training class\, then the Ba sics of Pistol Shooting Student Course\, and then the Pistol Instructor Tr aining.  These 3 classes together form the required course for NRA Pistol Instructor certification. (You are not considered an NRA Certified Instru ctor until the NRA Training Department processes your application and issu es your instructor credentials.)  This package includes the Basic Instruc tor Training (BIT)\, the Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Course and the Pistol Instructor Training so no other courses will be required to obtain your NRA Pistol Instructor Credentials after passing this course. As an NR A Instructor\, you will be ceertifed to offer the NRA Blended Learning Pis tol Couse which is a hybrid online/classroom/range course.  If you'd like to see how the online course is presented before class\, you are welcome to purchase a code during your registration and complete the course before class. This will make you will be familiar with the material your blended students will be getting before coming to you.  If you want a coupon for the online course\, please include it with your checkout below.  (This w ill save you approximately $35 compared to buying it online directly.)\n\n NRA Pistol Instructor certification is a requirement for becoming a Conce aled Handgun Permit (CHP) Instructor in Nebraska\, Iowa\, Colorado\, Miss ouri\, and many other states. Remember that the individual states decide a ll matters relating to their CHP programs including whether\, when\, and t o whom they issue Instructor certificates. You must apply directly to your state and meet their requirements for certification as a CHP instructor .\n\nThe Training Counselor (Justin Grusing) for this course has been a Ne braska Concealed Carry instructor for several years so if you are taking t his class to prepare for becoming a concealed carry instructor you will be able to get many of your questions answered to make the journey much smo other.\n\nThis is a full weekend which includes the Basic Instructor Train ing and the Basic Pistol student course as well as the prequalification s hooting drills and the actual instructor course.  Your lunches and snacks will be included.  We also have on-site accommodations for those traveli ng from out of town at no additional charge.\n\nYou will need to bring you r handgun and approximately 300 rounds of ammo (any caliber is acceptable) so you can demonstrate your ability to shoot to the standards required to be an NRA instructor.  You will be required to shoot 16 out of 20 rounds in a 6" groups on an 8" target from 15 yards.  You will be given two cha nces every day if you do not accomplish this the first time.  We will hav e the range open on Friday evening for those who would like to get an extr a two chances before class begins.  Please keep in mind that you will als o be required to shoot the student course which consists of hitting 4" tar gets from 10'\, 15'\, and 20'.  The instructor qualification target can b e downloaded here for practice.\n\nNRA Instructor Qualification Target\n\n You can pay for the class with credit card or debit card below or if you are going to pay by check please select the "Pay Instructor Directly" opti on.  Your spot will not be reserved until the check is received.\n\nNOTIC E: The NRA offers an optional online course which you will be certified to teach after successful completion of this course.  If you would like to become familiar with the material you can add the online course for $25.
