DESCRIPTION:NRA Defensive Handgun\nInstructed by Renee and Dustin Thomas  
   \nPOSTPONED TO SEPTEMBER!  Keep an eye on the calendar for the new da
 te when this is rescheduled.\nThe NRA Defensive Pistol Course is conducted
  by a select group of NRA Advanced Pistol Instructors. The training is obj
 ective based and will focus on the development of a defensive mindset. The
  goal of the course will be to develop the knowledge\, skills\, and attitu
 de to carry and use a concealed pistol ethically\, responsibly\, and with
  confidence. The course is a follow-on course to the NRA Basic Pistol or F
 IRST Steps Pistol Shooting Course\, but can be taken after a short prequal
  to verify you have a basic understanding of proper gun handling. The Nebr
 aska Shooters Concealed Carry course is also an adequate pre-qualification
  for this course. Upon successful completion of this training\, students s
 hould know and be able to demonstrate a number of defensive pistol techniq
 ues and shoot a timed qualification course of fire.\n\n\nIt is nothing lik
 e any of the other NRA pistol classes. For one thing\, there will be no wr
 itten quiz. This class is more of a mentoring class with lots of hands-on 
 training\, drills and lots of shooting. We will keep the student to instru
 ctor ratio very low for this class so you will have plenty of instruction.
 \n\nYou will need to bring approximately 400 rounds of ammo and a secure d
 ominant-side holster as well as your handgun and eye and ear protection\n\
 nThose who have not already completed their Basic Pistol or a Nebraska Sho
 oters Concealed carry class will need to make arrangements to come in prio
