DESCRIPTION:NRA Defensive Handgun\nInstructed by Justin Grusing\nThe NRA De
 fensive Pistol Course is conducted by a select group of NRA Advanced Pisto
 l Instructors. The training is objective based and will focus on the devel
 opment of a defensive mindset. The goal of the course will be to develop t
 he knowledge skills\, and attitude to carry and use a concealed pistol eth
 ically\, responsibly\, and with confidence. The course is a follow-on cour
 se to the NRA Basic Pistol course\, but can be taken after a short prequal
  to verify you have a basic understanding of proper gun handling. The Nebr
 aska Shooters Concealed Carry course is also an adequate pre-qualification
  for this course. Upon successful completion of this training\, students s
 hould know and be able to demonstrate a number of defensive pistol techniq
 ues and shoot a timed qualification course of fire.\n\n\nIt is nothing lik
 e any of the other NRA pistol classes. For one thing\, there will be no wr
 itten quiz. This class is more of a mentoring class with lots of hands-on 
 training\, drills and lots of shooting. We will keep the student to instru
 ctor ratio very low for this class so you will have plenty of instruction.
 \n\nYou will need to bring\n\n 	secure dominant-side holster\n 	a reliable
  center-fire handgun\n 	a minimum of 250 rounds and if you can bring more\
 , you may need them since only hits count\n 	eye and ear protection\n 	lun
 ch provided\n\nThose who have not already completed their Basic Pistol or 
 a Nebraska Shooters Concealed carry class will need to make arrangements t
 o come in prior to class and do a pre-course assessment.\n\nFor More Detai

  training after getting your Concealed Carry permit.\n\nProceeds from this
  course will be donated to the Shrine Gun Club.\n\n
