DESCRIPTION:NRA Defensive Handgun\nInstructed by Justin Grusing\n\n\n\nThe 
 NRA Defensive Pistol Course is conducted by a select group of NRA Advanced
  Pistol Instructors. The training is objective based and will focus on the
  development of a defensive mindset. The goal of the course will be to dev
 elop the knowledge\, skills\, and attitude to carry and use a concealed p
 istol ethically\, responsibly\, and with confidence. The course is a follo
 w-on course to the NRA Basic Pistol or FIRST Steps Pistol Shooting Course\
 , but can be taken after a short prequal to verify you have a basic unders
 tanding of proper gun handling. The Nebraska Shooters Concealed Carry cour
 se is also an adequate pre-qualification for this course. Upon successful 
 completion of this training\, students should know and be able to demonstr
 ate a number of defensive pistol techniques and shoot a timed qualificatio
 n course of fire.\n\nIt is nothing like any of the other NRA pistol classe
 s. For one thing\, there will be no written quiz. This class is more of a 
 mentoring class with lots of hands-on training\, drills and lots of shooti
 ng. We will keep the student to instructor ratio very low for this class s
 o you will have plenty of instruction.\n\nYou will need to bring approxima
 tely 400 rounds of ammo and a secure dominant-side holster as well as your
  handgun and eye and ear protection\n\nThose who have not already complete
 d their Basic Pistol or a Nebraska Shooters Concealed carry class will nee
 d to make arrangements to come in prior to class and do a pre-course asses
