SUMMARY:NRA Chief Range Safety Officer
DESCRIPTION:This course is approximately nine hours long and is conducted i
 n a classroom at the Nebraska Shooters Training facility near Firth\, NE. 
 The CRSO certification enables you to conduct classes for RSO candidates.
   If you have not had a Basic Instructor Training (BIT) course in the pre
 vious 2 years\, remember a BIT course is required to obtain your CRSO cred
 entials.\nIf you do not currently have your RSO certification\, you will n
 eed to come to Nebraska Shooters' facility on 12/10/22 and add the RSO cou
 rse to your registration below.\n\nRange Safety Officer candidates will le
 arn roles and responsibilities of an RSO\; Range Standard Operating Proced
 ures (SOPs)\; range inspection\; range rules\; range briefings\; emergency
  procedures\; and firearm stoppages and malfunctions. Each Range Safety Of
 ficer Candidate will receive an RSO Student Study Guide\, a Basic Firearm 
 Training Program brochure\, an NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure\, an Instruct
 or Application/Course Evaluation form.\n\nNRA Range Safety Officers posses
 s the knowledge\, skills\, and attitude essential to organizing\, conducti
 ng\, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations indoors
  and outdoors.\n\nThe NRA developed its program in response to the demand 
 for a nationally-recognized Range Safety Officer ("RSO") certification. Ou
 r class and the certification should be especially valuable to firearms in
 structors including CHP instructors.\n\nIn review\, If you do not have any
  current credentials\, you will need the RSO(12/10/22)\, BIT (12/10/22 eve
 ning)\, and CRSO(12/11/22) course to become a CRSO.  If you are currently
  an instructor and you have had your BIT within the past 2 years\, you can
  skip the BIT.  If you are a current RSO and you have  completed the BIT
  in the past 2 years you will only need the 12/11/22 CRSO course.\n\nPleas
 e bring a sack lunch since there are not restaurants nearby and we will li
 kely have a working lunch.\n\n&nbsp\;
