DESCRIPTION:This is the NRA course designed to develop the knowledge skills
  and attitude to safely and effectively handle a handgun.\n\nStudents lear
 n NRA’s rules for safe gun handling\; pistol parts and operation\; ammun
 ition\; shooting fundamentals\; range rules\; shooting from the bench rest
  position\, and two handed standing positions\; cleaning the pistol\; and 
 continued opportunities for skill development.\n\nWe will take the time to
  allow you to learn the proper way to get started with your handgun.  Thi
 s is a great class for new gun owners or for people who will be living in 
 a household with handguns.\n\nNRA's core Basic Pistol Course has six major
  parts. We enhance that core class for civilians who want to live responsi
 bly while protecting themselves and their family inside their home. And we
  adjust according to the circumstances and enrollment in each class. Here'
 s the core:\n1. Pistol Knowledge and Safe Gun Handling\n2. Ammunition Know
 ledge and the Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting\n3. Firing the First Shots\n
 4. Scoring Targets and Selecting and Maintaining your Pistol\n5. Continue
 d Opportunities for Skill Development\n6. The One-Handed Standing Shooting
  Position\nPlease bring 200 rounds of ammo and eye and hearing protection.
 \n\nUpon successful completion\, you will receive an NRA certificate of co
 mpletion for The Basics of Pistol Shooting.\n\nThis course also meets the 
 training requirements for the Colorado Concealed Carry permit.\n\nIf you n

 s to have their own email address. Please double check your name as it app
 ears on your driver's license because your certificate will need to match
