Building on the skills fr om the previous day\, this will add stress from a timer and cardiovascular activity to shooting drills to simulate real-world self-defense environme nts. Norm has more than 46 years experience in operational law enf orcement\, training\, logistical and support planning for private security companies\, military and state police organizations. He is a certified in structor of law enforcement subjects by the Alaska Police Standards Counci l. He has Extensive “Use of Force” training experience with lethal and less-lethal weapons and 30 plus years conducting rifle\, pistol and shotg un training\, including Concealed Carry courses as an independent contract or with a private firearms academy in Alaska and as a former adjunct instr uctor at Blackwater Worldwide\, Inc. Norm is a NRA instructor certified in Pistol\, Rifle\, Shotgun\, Refuse to be a Victim\, and Chief Range Safety Officer and holds the “NRA Distinguished Expert Pistol and Shotgun” r ating and has been appointed by the NRA as an Advanced Defensive Pistol In structor. Norm has graduated from the Anchorage Police Department Citizens Academy\, the South Bend Citizens Police Academy and the St. Joseph Count y Citizens Police Academy. Norm is a member of the Church Security Allianc e and is an Affiliate Instructor\, Armed Citizens Legal Defense Network. H e is a member of the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA)\, Illinois Tactical Officers Association (IOTA)\, and is certified by the State of Indiana as an Emergency Medical Responder\, the State of Illinois as a Certified Firearms Instructor\, Illinois Concea led Carry Firearms Instructor\, GLOCK Armorer\, and FEMA as an Active Shoo ter Responder Trainer. Norm is Yondan\, 4th Dan (4th degree Black Belt) in Hojutsu-Ryu (the Martial Art of Shooting) and runs the only Hojutsu-Ryu d ojo in the Mid-west. He is also a student of Okinawan Shorin-Ryu karate. N orm is a 2015 inductee in the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame and Hall of He ro’s. Norm is the Regional Master Instructor for the Second Amendment Fo undation Training Division covering Indiana\, Michigan\, and Ohio.
