You’ll learn through a lecture\, demonstrations\, and range proced ures. This class includes safe weapon handling\, fundamentals of marksmans hip\, multiple target engagement\, accuracy at multiple distances\, and ma nipulation of the weapon system.\n\nDay 1: Will help refresh your skills\, quickly proceeding to more advanced fighting skills. In addition\, a comp lete curriculum of movement is added to the fundamental of individual gun handling techniques and tactics. The participant will master the skills ne cessary to become much faster and more accurate on target as you greatly i ncrease your tactical skills. The participant will train in more exciting live fire simulations\, The course will review safety rules\, mindset\, ba sic drills\, and positions.\n\nDay 2: This day will refine your skills. Bu ilding on the skills from the previous day\, this will add stress from a t imer and cardiovascular activity to shooting drills to simulate real-world self-defense environments. Students will find their limits\, learn their weaknesses\, and develop strategies to maintain speed and accuracy. Norm has more than 46 years experience in operatio nal law enforcement\, training\, logistical and support planning for priva te security companies\, military and state police organizations. He is a c ertified instructor of law enforcement subjects by the Alaska Police Stand ards Council. He has Extensive “Use of Force” training experience with lethal and less-lethal weapons and 30 plus years conducting rifle\, pisto l and shotgun training\, including Concealed Carry courses as an independe nt contractor with a private firearms academy in Alaska and as a former ad junct instructor at Blackwater Worldwide\, Inc. Norm is a NRA instructor c ertified in Pistol\, Rifle\, Shotgun\, Refuse to be a Victim\, and Chief R ange Safety Officer and holds the “NRA Distinguished Expert Pistol and S hotgun” rating and has been appointed by the NRA as an Advanced Defensiv e Pistol Instructor. Norm has graduated from the Anchorage Police Departme nt Citizens Academy\, the South Bend Citizens Police Academy and the St. J oseph County Citizens Police Academy. Norm is a member of the Church Secur ity Alliance and is an Affiliate Instructor\, Armed Citizens Legal Defense Network. He is a member of the International Law Enforcement Educators an d Trainers Association (ILEETA)\, Illinois Tactical Officers Association ( IOTA)\, and is certified by the State of Indiana as an Emergency Medical R esponder\, the State of Illinois as a Certified Firearms Instructor\, Illi nois Concealed Carry Firearms Instructor\, GLOCK Armorer\, and FEMA as an Active Shooter Responder Trainer. Norm is Yondan\, 4th Dan (4th degree Bla ck Belt) in Hojutsu-Ryu (the Martial Art of Shooting) and runs the only Ho jutsu-Ryu dojo in the Mid-west. He is also a student of Okinawan Shorin-Ry u karate. Norm is a 2015 inductee in the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame and Hall of Hero’s. Norm is the Regional Master Instructor for the Second A mendment Foundation Training Division covering Indiana\, Michigan\, and Oh io.
