This NRA Basic Pistol Course is a blended training course, which means a portion of the course (Phase I) is conducted in
an eLearning environment (online), that can be completed on your own time. Upon successfully completing the online exam, students will be required to register for the instructor-led training portion (Phase II), which is to be conducted at your local range with an NRA Certified Instructor. You must successfully complete Phase I and Phase II in order to receive your Basic Pistol certificate.

Completion & Expiration
You must complete all 11 lessons and a final exam with a 90% pass rate in order to get certified as having completed Phase 1 of your training. If you do not pass the exam the first time you will be provided with two additional opportunities to take the exam. Once you pass the exam you will be directed to generate a completion certificate that you can save as a file and/or print. You will use your Pin to register for your instructor led portion (or Phase II) of the course on the www.nrainstructors.org website.
You will have access to this program for 90 days from the start of your enrollment date after which access expires.

Basic Pistol LEVEL I
When you sign up, we will issue you a code that will allow you to take to NRA Online course without further charges.
The price of the online course is $25.00 and cannot be refunded once the code is assigned. Once your code is assigned you can begin taking the course immediately.

Basic Pistol LEVEL II
This is the instructor-led practical portion of the course. Once you have completed the LEVEL I portion on the NRA Website and have a PIN you can enroll in one of our LEVEL II courses. Please go to the schedule and find a Basic Pistol Phase II course that meets your convenience or contact use to schedule a time to conduct the course.
Level II be approximately 5 hours. Actual time could vary since this is an objective based learning environment.
In Exercise 1 we will discuss Firearm and Range Safety
In Exercise 2 we will review and practice the fundamentals of shooting.
In Exercise 3 we will discuss and practice Loading, Cocking, Uncocking, and Unloading your firearm.
In Exercise 4 we will review and practice shooting from various positions and conduct the qualification course.
