Urban Rifle (using the rifle at pistol distances and beyond)

This course provides the student with a solid foundation in basic knowledge of carbine safety, several types of carbines, an understanding of ammunition and how it functions, shooting fundamentals and an introduction to defensive shooting skills. This class is patterned after Clint Smith’s (Thunder Ranch) 3-day Urban Rifle Class
Required Equipment; A modern, serviceable, sighted in semi-auto carbine (AR, AK, Mini-14, M1 carbine, MI SOCOM 16), Ear and Eye protection, Sturdy Shoes, Long Pants, Shirt with Higher Collar, Ammunition: Factory fresh ammo only. NO RELOADS or specialty ammo (steel core or amour piercing), Extra magazine carrier, comfortable clothing, kneepads (optional but recommended), hydration system or bottled water, baseball Cap. Everyone will have the opportunity to run an AK platform rifle.
Students need no prior training in shooting to attend this course.
CLASS SIZE IS LIMITED, MUST SIGN UP AHEAD
WHEN: SUNDAY May 29th, 2022, 9am-5pm Bring lunch
WHERE: Nebraska Shooters, Firth, NE
COST: $150, in addition bring at least 200 rounds of ammunition, a sling (any type) mounted on the rifle, 3 magazines, optics if desired. Also feel free to bring a handgun with holster to work on some transitions and multi-platform drills.
